Zenea
Terms of Use
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Welcome to Zenea
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Zenea. By using Zenea, creating an account, accessing the app or website, or using Zenea Premium, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Zenea.
If you have questions about these Terms of Use, contact support@zenea.app.
1. What Zenea Is
Zenea is a personal well-being and social reflection app. It is designed to help you check in with yourself, reflect on your emotions, save private notes, use grounding and routine tools, play small focus, memory, and logic games, share selected moments, connect with others, chat with contacts, and notice patterns over time.
Zenea includes private reflection tools such as Thought Drift, My Grounding, My Direction, Clear Mind or Untangle a Thought, Inner Compass, morning routines, night routines, Night Routine entries, Notes, and Mind Games. It may also include social features such as shared moments, direct chat, anonymous Discovery posts, Discovery replies, Discovery chat, identity reveal choices, reactions, reports, blocking, notifications, and Zenea Premium.
2. Not Medical Advice
Zenea is not a medical, mental health, crisis, emergency, or professional care service. Zenea does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, crisis support, or professional medical advice.
Mind Games are provided for focus, memory, logic, and personal well-being. They are not medical, cognitive, educational, or therapeutic assessments, and Zenea does not promise that using them will diagnose, treat, prevent, or improve any health condition or cognitive ability.
If you feel unsafe, are in crisis, may harm yourself or someone else, or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
3. Eligibility and Your Account
Zenea is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use online services in their country without appropriate guardian consent. If you are not old enough to use Zenea, you may not create an account or use the service.
You are responsible for keeping your account information secure and for all activity that happens through your account. You must provide accurate information and use Zenea in a respectful and lawful way.
You may not share your account with someone else, impersonate another person, create an account using false or misleading information, attempt to access another user's account, or attempt to bypass account, age, payment, security, or safety controls.
4. Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you create in Zenea, such as check-ins, Notes, shared moments, Discovery posts, replies, reactions, chat messages, comments, and uploaded images.
By using Zenea, you give us permission to process your content as needed to provide and protect the service. This includes saving it, syncing it to your account where available, displaying it to you, showing shared content to the people or areas you choose, sending notifications you allow, translating content when you request translation, verifying purchases, moderating content where needed, preserving safety records, debugging technical issues, and enforcing these Terms.
You are responsible for the content you create, send, publish, upload, or share, and you must have the rights needed to use that content in Zenea.
5. Private Notes, Encrypted Notes, and Local Data
Private reflection and note content is private by default. This includes Thought Drift, My Grounding notes, My Direction notes, Clear Mind or Untangle a Thought notes, Inner Compass notes, morning and night routine notes, Night Routine entries, and Notes.
Notes are encrypted on your device before they are saved locally or synced to your account. Some metadata, such as note type, color, tags, timestamps, and sync information, may remain unencrypted so the app can sort, filter, sync, and display notes correctly.
For email/password accounts, Zenea can store an encrypted backup of the Notes encryption key so encrypted Notes can be unlocked on another device after sign-in. If that key cannot be recovered, encrypted Notes may not be readable on a new device. Zenea is not responsible for loss of access caused by lost credentials, lost devices, unavailable recovery keys, unsupported recovery flows, or deleted local data.
Some app data may be cached locally on your device for reliability, performance, offline/transitional states, or migration from older local-only storage. Local device storage may be cleared by the device, operating system, app reinstall, app settings, or account deletion flows.
Mind Games progress, saved games, scores, best scores, streaks, difficulty choices, timers, settings, favorites, and similar gameplay results are currently stored locally on your device unless a feature clearly says it syncs to your account. If local device storage is cleared, game progress or results may be lost.
Mind Games are not gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes, or real-money games. They do not award money, cash-equivalent prizes, or transferable rewards.
6. Sharing, Discovery, and Chat
You are responsible for what you choose to share. Check-ins are private by default, but they become visible to others when you share them with contacts or publish them to Discovery.
Shared moments, comments, reactions, and messages may remain visible to the people who received them, subject to deletion, blocking, moderation, account controls, and the app's historical-content rules.
Discovery is designed to be anonymous by default, but anonymity is not a promise that content can never be connected to an account. Reports, safety reviews, backend records, legal requests, and abuse prevention may require Zenea to connect content to accounts. Discovery identity reveal happens only according to the app's reveal rules.
Direct chats are visible to the participants of the conversation. Unless a feature clearly says it is end-to-end encrypted, assume Zenea may need access to content for delivery, sync, safety, moderation, debugging, deletion flows, and legal compliance.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse Zenea, attempt to access accounts or systems without permission, interfere with the service, scrape or bulk collect data, impersonate others, bypass safety controls, upload malware, spam users, harass or threaten people, exploit minors, share non-consensual private information, or use Zenea for harmful, fraudulent, or illegal purposes.
You may not post, send, request, promote, or encourage content that involves harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, doxxing, hate or dehumanizing content, discriminatory abuse, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, graphic violence, credible threats of violence, instructions for harming others, illegal activity, scams, impersonation, spam, malware, or content that violates another person's rights, safety, or privacy.
You may not use Zenea to train, benchmark, scrape, or build competing datasets, models, services, or products without permission.
8. Moderation, Reports, and Blocking
We may remove content, reject profile photos, limit features, hide content, block interactions, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or report serious issues to appropriate authorities when we believe it is necessary to protect users, Zenea, or the public; enforce these Terms; comply with law; prevent fraud; or respond to safety concerns.
Users can report people, posts, replies, messages, shared moments, comments, profile photos, or other content. Reports may include account information, content snapshots, timestamps, reasons, related identifiers, and review actions.
Blocking can stop future interactions and hide people from parts of the app. Some historical content may remain visible in a limited, read-only, unavailable, deleted-user, or anonymized form so each user can keep their own history and so Zenea can preserve safety records where needed.
9. Profile Photos and Images
Profile photos are intended for ordinary, non-explicit personal images. We allow normal selfies, face photos, clothed full-body photos, exercise photos, and non-explicit swimwear or similar everyday images.
We do not allow profile photos or uploaded images that contain nudity, explicit sexual content, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, graphic violence, hateful symbols or abuse, impersonation, or content that violates another person's rights, safety, or privacy.
Direct chat images are resized and compressed before upload. Originals are not uploaded by Zenea. Chat images may remain available to other participants according to chat deletion and history rules.
10. Music and Audio
Some music or audio used in Zenea may come from Pixabay and is used under the applicable Pixabay license. Pixabay content may be subject to Pixabay's own terms, license conditions, prohibited uses, and third-party rights.
Pixabay generally allows free use and modification of its licensed content without required attribution, but attribution may be appreciated and some uses are prohibited. Zenea may update, replace, remove, or add music and audio over time.
11. Third-Party Services
Zenea relies on third-party providers to operate the service. These may include hosting, authentication, database, storage, translation, push notifications, app stores, payment processors, subscription verification, store notifications, moderation, email, diagnostics, security, and similar providers.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Zenea is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
12. Zenea Premium, Subscriptions, and Purchases
Zenea Premium may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store or Google Play. Premium may include monthly and yearly plans, trials, introductory offers, or other store-supported offers where available.
The exact product name, features, price, currency, billing period, trial or introductory offer if any, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation terms are shown in the app store purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase. Payment is charged by the App Store or Google Play to the store account you use for the purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the relevant store before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account subscription settings or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting your Zenea account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
Zenea verifies subscription purchases through the relevant app store and Zenea's backend before unlocking Premium access. Restore purchases is intended for users who already have an active Zenea Premium subscription on the same store account. Payment does not give anyone the right to break these Terms, and we may restrict or terminate access to paid or unpaid features for rule violations, fraud, safety risks, or unlawful use.
Family sharing is available only if it is enabled for the relevant subscription in the app store and supported by the store account settings. If family sharing is not enabled, each subscription is intended for the purchasing account.
Refunds, renewals, cancellations, billing issues, and billing disputes are handled according to applicable law and the rules of the relevant app store or payment provider.
13. Account Deletion and Ending Access
You may stop using Zenea at any time. You can delete your account where the app provides that control. If you cannot access the app, you can request account and data deletion by contacting support@zenea.app.
Deleting your account or content may not immediately remove every copy from backups, service logs, store billing records, subscription event records, fraud-prevention records, safety records, legal records, or content history visible to other users when retention is necessary for legitimate safety, history, legal, billing, fraud-prevention, or technical reasons.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe a user has violated these Terms, created risk for others, used Zenea unlawfully, attempted fraud, or interfered with the service.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and delete information. By using Zenea, you also agree that your information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Availability and Changes
Zenea may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We may also update these Terms of Use when needed. If we make important changes, we will update the date above and may notify you in the app, on the website, by store listing, or require you to accept the updated terms before continuing to use account-creation or other features.
16. Disclaimers
Zenea is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that every piece of content will be preserved forever.
You should keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, especially before deleting your account, changing devices, reinstalling the app, or relying on local-only device storage.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Zenea is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages related to your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
18. Contact
Zenea is operated by Elin Stella Alisdey, a sole trader registered in Sweden. Organisation number: 950616-9680.
